What few people realize is that it is possible to generate an income by blogging. The trick is to use advertisements.

  1. Affiliate Marketing-Many companies have started to incorporate affiliate marketing into larger scale marketing programs. The program saves the corporation money and will help you make money. All you have to do is find a product that you believe in, use your blog to promote it, and make sure that you post your affiliation link on your website. Each time one of your readers uses the link to make a purchase, you get a commission.
  2. Goggle Adsense-This is a tested and proven method that can generate a very respectable amount of money. The nice thing about this program is that you don’t have to do much work.

  4. Amazon Deep Linking-You see it all the time, a blog post that has links embedded in it that lead directly to a product Amazon is selling. This is called deep linking.
  5. Sponsored posts-This is basically a situation where a company pays you to post something about their product. While this is a good way to make some extra money, you do have to be careful. This is a good way to generate a bit of income, particularly if you pair it with a paid review or sponsored post of a much anticipated new product. This form of advertising works better in some markets than it does in others
  7. Promotional Boxes- This is something that Google has started to do. What they are is an advertisement that appears at the end of every single blog post. Once you agree to them, you don’t have to worry about the advertisement again, and the company will pay you an advertising fee.
  8. Sell you blog-If you have created a really good blog, one of the things you might want to consider doing is selling it. You’d be surprised by how much people are willing to pay for a good blog’s domain name. The more subscribers you have, the more you can expect to get for you blog.
  9. Paid reviews-This is particularly common when a publisher is getting ready to launch a new book. The publisher usually isn’t as interested in what you have to say so much as spreading word about the book. The hope is that if they spring for a few paid reviews they will trigger a snowball effect and on the actual release day, people will be clamoring to buy the book.
  10. Posting links in your blog’s sidebar-The nice thing about these types of links is that unlike with affiliate marketing and AdSense, no one has to click on them. The owner of the link will pay you just to have them in the sidebar. You won’t make much money, but something is better than nothing.
  11. Pop-up advertising-While this has the potential to generate a great deal of money, you are going to want to use this option sparingly. Stick to one pop-up ad and try to make sure that it only pops up sparingly.
